Preview: A study of how, why, and when we should witness for God. This is the thirteenth lesson in a thirteen-part series on this subject.

Pre-reading: Galatians 6:1-10 & Colossians 1:1-29.

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 4:1-25.

Memory Verse: John 15:13.

1. Does the foregoing Scripture teach us that we must dedicate our lives to God; living and teaching the truth? Discuss.
2. Must we be empowered by the Holy Spirit in order to do this? Discuss. John 14:26, John 15:26, Acts 1:8.
Note: Without the Holy Spirit we cannot always know what the truth is. The Holy Spirit also gives us power and courage to speak God’s Word.
3. What is essential for successful witnessing? Acts 4:24-33.
Note: Prayer is truly the place where people are won to Christ. The divine order is to talk to God about man before talking to man about God.
4. Should we pray that we as well as others have a desire to win lost souls to Christ? Why? Luke 10:2, Matthew 9:36-38.
Note: Christians must have a loving compassion for those who do not know the Lord of salvation. Time is running out.
5. What should we be praying about? John 4:35-36.
6. What will be the sad report when the harvest time is past and they still do not know the Lord? Jeremiah 8:20, Joel 3:13-14, Revelation 14:15-16.
Note: It truly will be a sad time for all who are not prepared to meet God.
7. Where will we be in the Judgment if we fail to witness truth to sinners? Ezekiel 3:17-19, Ezekiel 3:21.
8. What blessings await us if we have been faithful witnesses? Isaiah 52:7-8, Romans 10:13-15, John 4:36.
9. What preparation must we make in order to be a faithful witness? Ephesians 6:10-18.
Note: Satan is working faithfully to destroy the children of God, but if they have on all of the armor of God the Devil can be defeated.
10. Should we be discouraged or defeated when sinners do not respond after we have witnessed faithfully to them? I Corinthians 3:6-9.
Note: As witnesses we can only sow seed or water those already sown, but only God can save.
