Explaining God's Forgiveness to Sinners Reference

God's forgiveness to sinners is a central theme in the Bible, and the King James Version (KJV) provides several passages that illustrate this concept. As believers in God, we are called upon to spread His word, to ensure that all have heard of His mercy, no matter their background or what they’ve done.  Here are some key references:

• Isaiah 1:18: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." This verse emphasizes God's willingness to forgive sins and cleanse the sinner, using the imagery of scarlet turning into white snow and crimson becoming wool.

• Psalm 103:12: "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." This verse portrays the vastness of God's forgiveness, illustrating that He removes our sins from us completely, never to be held against us again.

• 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." This verse highlights the condition of confessing our sins before God, acknowledging our wrongdoing. When we do so, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• Ephesians 1:7: "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace." This verse emphasizes that our forgiveness of sins is made possible through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, whose blood brings redemption and forgiveness. It underscores the abundant grace of God in providing this forgiveness.

• Colossians 1:14: "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins." This verse echoes the message of Ephesians 1:7, emphasizing that our redemption and forgiveness come through Jesus Christ and His sacrificial blood.

These passages highlight God's boundless mercy and forgiveness, illustrating His willingness to pardon and cleanse those who turn to Him in repentance and seek His forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ.
