Before Armageddon: Part 1 of 2

Preview: Merriam-Webster defines Armageddon as: the site or time of a final and conclusive battle between the forces of good and evil. Recognizing when and how this will take place is covered in this lesson. This is the first part of a two-part lesson on this subject. 


Scripture Reading: Revelation 17:1-11. 

Memory Verse: Revelation 17:18. 

1. What must take place before Armageddon? Matthew 24:14. 
2. What else must take place? Mark 13:10. 
3. Who will God send to help finish the work? Malachi 4:5. 
4. What will be his special mission? Malachi 4:6. 
5. For whom will Elijah prepare the way? Malachi 3:1. 
6. Has the Lord promised He will make a short work of righteousness? Romans 9:28. 
Note: The true Gospel of the Kingdom has not yet covered the earth, but with the help of Elijah it will be cut short. 
7. What will the angels do to assist in giving the closing and final message? Revelation 14:6-7. 
8. What is the loud cry of the angel for and against? Revelation 14:7-10. 
9. Have the saints of God been begging for the judgment to come? Revelation 6:9-10. 
Note: When the hour comes for this bloody work of killing the saints to be ended forever, it will be indeed good news for the saints of both Heaven and earth. This is the good news of the first angel’s message. This is all future and must take place before Armageddon. 
10. How did the angels rejoice when the third angel poured out his vial? Revelation 16:4-7. 
11. What else must take place before Armageddon? Revelation 17:1. 
12. What is meant by the whore sitting on many waters? Revelation 17:15. 
13. How great will be her curse and judgment? Revelation 18:6-10. 
14. How will it affect the saints of God? Revelation 18:20. 
15. How great did the saints rejoice over the destruction of the harlot mother? Revelation 19:1-3. 
16. Whom did they worship after the harlot was destroyed? Revelation 19:4-5. 
17. What is the woman further described to be? Revelation 17:18. 
18. Who destroyed the harlot and who prompted them to do so? Revelation 17:15-18. 
Note: The Roman Catholic Church claims to be the mother Church, and the Protestant Churches are her daughters. They keep her feast days, such as Sunday, Christmas, Easter, Good Friday, Sunday resurrection, lent, and many of them recognize Ash Wednesday, infant baptism, and salvation beyond the grave. Remember that the harlot woman will be destroyed before Armageddon. 
19. Will the Federation of Churches be destroyed before Armageddon? Isaiah 8:9-12.
