Preview: Respect for others, ourselves, and God is a basic tenet of Christian life. 


Scripture Reading: Exodus 20:1-17. 

Memory Verse: Exodus 20:12. 

1. What do the Scriptures tell us about respecting and honoring others? Romans 13:7 & Proverbs 3:27. 
2. In what way should we honor God? Exodus 20:3-7. 
3. Why should we have respect for the ways and things of God? Psalm 119:6, Psalm 119:15 & Psalm 119:117. 
4. In what way should children respect their parents? Ephesians 6:1-3. 
5. Why should the wife respect her husband? Ephesians 5:22-24. 
6. How should a man respect his wife? Ephesians 5:28-29. 
7. What classes of people deserve our respect? I Timothy 5:1-3. 
8. Should we have any preference as to whom we should and shouldn’t respect? Why or why not? I Peter 2:17. 
9. What lesson do we learn from the Lord’s respect for mankind? Psalm 138:6. 
Note: There is so much disrespect and pride existing in our world today that there is little wonder our world is in such an awful state. These things never make happy homes, successful people, or a better world. The example of God should be taken into careful consideration. We should never get so high minded, proud, and selfish that we feel we are too good to respect others.

11. Who will respect the Christianity in your life? Proverbs 3:3-4. 
12. To whom does the Lord reserve a special honor? John 12:26. 
13. What kind of respect does God show toward His servants? II Corinthians 6:17-18. 
14. How will the Lord show respect to those who have been true to Him? Isaiah 65:17-22.
